Mohammad Abdul Mannan, also known as M. A. Mannan, was a politician from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. He was the first city mayor of Bangladesh’s Gazipur City Corporation. From 1991 until 1993, he served as Bangladesh’s minister of religious affairs. From 1993 to 1995, he was also the Minister of Science and Technology. He returned to work in June 2017, however on July 6, 2017, the Local Government Division (LGD) suspended him for the third time.
