Md. Akabbar Hossain was a politician from Bangladesh’s Awami League. He was elected to parliament four times in a row from the Tangail-7 seat. On 5 January 2014, Hossain was elected to Parliament from Tangail-7 as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate. He was the Chairman of the Ministry of Road, Transport, and Bridges’ Parliamentary Standing Committee.
