Dr. Earl A. Grollman was the rabbi of the Beth El Temple Center in Belmont, Massachusetts, for 36 years and was a pioneer in the field of crisis intervention. He was named “Hero of the Heartland” for his efforts with the families and volunteers of the Oklahoma City bombing. He is a certified death educator and counselor. Dr. Grollman has addressed several support organizations, including Compassionate Friends and Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and has lectured at many schools, clergy institutes, seminaries, and hospital nursing associations. He’s also been on shows including The Oprah Winfrey Show, Children’s Journal, All Things Considered, and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood on national television and radio.
