Terrance Joseph Cooney was an American baseball umpire who worked in the American League (AL) from 1974 through 1992, wearing the number 12 uniform. He officiated in three American League Championship Series (1978, 1986, and 1990), as well as two All-Star Games (1979, 1989). Cooney was elected to the Fresno County Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002.
