Waldemar Bergendahl was a Swedish film director, screenwriter, cinematographer, and editor. Bergendahl is most known for producing films based on Astrid Lindgren literature. Bergendahl made approximately 120 films. Astrid Lindgren, Tage Danielsson, Bo Widerberg, Lasse Hallström, Helena Bergström, and many more collaborated with him. He always chose his own cast members for his flicks. Bergendahl was awarded the Hedersguldbaggen in 2010 for his work as a film producer.
