George DeLeone was the offensive line coach at Baylor University in American football. DeLeone was an offensive line coach with the Cleveland Browns before returning to Temple’s staff, where he was the offensive coordinator from 2006 to 2007. From 1976 to 1979, DeLeone was the head coach at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU). Mark DeLeone, DeLeone’s son, was named linebackers coach of the Detroit Lions in 2021. Since 2007, Mark DeLeone has worked as a defensive assistant coach in both college and the NFL.
This is one of my favorite memories of George Deleone. So thankful for the opportunity to know and work with such a fine man. His impact is legendary. AND no matter what else was happening; he was not going to miss Sunday church service. RIP Coach Deleone pic.twitter.com/U0l4bitGwp
