Rabbi Jonathan Cahn: Lessons from The Plague

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn: Lessons from The Plague

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn shares this Teaching titled: “Lessons from The Plague”. In this message, he asked if the Bible mentions epidemics and pandemics, and he replied, “It does.” He stated that the Hebrew word for this is “magafa.” It implies to attack, beat, or dash something. Pestilence is a translation of another Hebrew term, moraine, which he argues is a translation of pestilence in older Bible editions. Jonathan stated that one of the 10 plagues is known as moraine.

The Hebrew term for plague is “dever,” which means “as a judgment.” He stated that prophets frequently spoke of the advent of judgment and used three symbols to represent it: famine, the sword, and disease.
